Marriage Preparation Sessions
Engaged Couples, Newlyweds & Special Requests
Provided by Lynda Daring
Description: These coaching sessions provide couples a welcoming, relaxed and safe environment to openly discuss tough challenges they are facing together that might include: talking about your past history, to have children or not, managing finances, how to live together to name a few.
Desired Outcome: Each session is planned according to the specific issues experienced by the couple. It is my hope that you leave the sessions feeling one step closer to effectively communicating more clearly, on point and with honesty. An evaluation will be provided each time to measure the effectiveness of the outcome and next steps.
Credentials: I hold a B.S. from Wilmington University, New Castle, Delaware, in Behavioral Science. Almost 19 years as a Career Coach and Training Manager, provided me with valuable life lessons in humility, temperance, and dealing with adversity. I am an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church, Modesto California and American Marriage Ministries, Seattle, Washington, and a member of the International Association of Professional Wedding Officiants.
Coach Role: At the request of the couple, I devote time to help with questions about married life and help to identify and overcome challenges in your own relationship. I will inquire why you want couples coaching. All matters are confidential and addressed in the privacy of my home office.
Methods Used: administer open-ended questions, journaling to record significant feelings, practice role-playing, practice hard conversations in my presence, view short videos and engage in discussion, and study designated free material made available downloaded from the internet.
Purpose: Love, relationships, marriage do not come with instructions or a How-To manual. We learn by doing, maturing, experiencing and sharing life’s experiences with each other. This program is offered to those engaged couples who ask for insight and techniques to help them navigate through the tough parts pre/post wedding. Learned techniques that if committed to using in real life, will hopefully become your most basic and effective tools throughout married life together.
Disclaimer: I am not a licensed therapist, nor an accredited counselor. My degree is in Behavioral Science, a combination of Psychology and Sociology. I do not have a graduate or doctorate in these fields. This service is rendered by request, prepared and delivered using my accredited education, acquired skills, talent, marital experience, and life experiences. I am compensated for my time for a fair and equitable fee agreed upon.
